Easy Strawberry Custard Tart

This easy strawberry custard tart with shortbread crust is so sweet and decadent! The custard is made without eggs and is full of the most delicious vanilla flavor.
- GF flour
- Heavy cream
STEP 1: Cream the butter with the sugar until smooth
STEP 2: Add the flour and salt and mix to combine.
STEP 3: Press crust into tart pan and bake for 12-14 minutes.
STEP 4: In a large saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, heavy cream, arrowroot, vanilla, and salt. Heat for 10-12 minutes, whisking occasionally, until mixture thickens and starts to bubble.
STEP 5: Remove the mixture from the heat and immediately whisk in the butter.
STEP 6: Allow both the crust and the custard to cool, then transfer the custard into the crust. Chill for 4 hours. Top with strawberries right before serving.
