Today I am rounding up all of my BEST gluten free Christmas desserts! I love this time of year so, naturally, I have developed quite a few festive yet easy recipes.
It's the most wonderful time of the year! And what's Christmas without lots of sweet treats?! I know the holidays can be tough when you are dealing with allergies... I wrote a whole book on it! So I'm making it easy by collecting my very best holiday recipes right here.
Whether you're looking for a delicious gift idea, participating in a cookie swap, hosting family and friends, or simply looking to make new family traditions in the kitchen, there's something for everyone right here.
You'll see lots of the usual suspects... peppermint, gingerbread, candy canes. But I've also included a few fresh ideas, too.
So crank up those holiday tunes, grab your mixer, and head right into the kitchen!
Gluten Free Christmas Cookies...
1. Gluten Free Linzer Cookies
These Linzer cookies just scream Christmas to me! They're such a classic, and I love the sweet cookies paired with the slightly tart raspberry jam filling.
2. Peppermint Mocha Cookies
I love a good peppermint and chocolate pairing. These cookies are thick and soft, like all good cookies are, with crushed up candy canes on top adding some nice texture (and an extra festive touch).
3. Red Velvet Cookies
These cookies are perfect for any red velvet lover in your life! They're so rich and full of that unique red velvet flavor that I find irresistible. The white chocolate chips add an extra little something, too.
4. Buttery Spritz Cookies
I'll take any excuse to use my cookie press! These spritz cookies may seem simple and unassuming, but sometimes that's just best when it comes to classic Christmas cookies.
5. Homemade Thin Mint Cookies
Again: peppermint + chocolate. A winning combination! These Thin Mint cookies are gluten free AND vegan, which is an added bonus.
6. White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies
These cookies taste just like white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, except since I bake entirely without nuts, I opted for dried cranberries instead. They're more festive, too!
7. Chocolate Snowball Cookies
These little snowball cookies feature a surprise Hershey's Kiss in the centers! The powdered sugar on top looks like a fresh dusting of snow.
8. Chocolate Sugar Cookies
I couldn't make a list of my favorite Christmas cookies without including a classic cut-out sugar cookie recipe. These chocolate cookies are perfect for decorating with little ones, but they're Just As Tasty without icing, too.
9. Lofthouse Frosted Sugar Cookies
While I initially made these super soft cookies for Halloween, they would work great for any holiday! Tint the buttercream frosting red or green and use some Christmas sprinkles.
10. Checkerboard Icebox Cookies
These checkerboard cookies are SO buttery and I just love that you get both chocolate and vanilla flavors in each and every bite. They're much easier to make than you might think.
More Gluten Free Christmas Treats...
11. Cookie Dough Truffles
These little no-bake treats are such a dream. We're taking edible cookie dough and wrapping it up in melted white chocolate. So rich, yet completely irresistible.
12. Peppermint Brownies
When you take my extra fudgy brownie recipe, and add crushed up candy canes on top, you get a perfect holiday treat. I promise these will go quick at a Christmas party!
13. Gingerbread Bars
These gingerbread bars are one of my all-time favorite holiday bakes. They're so soft, and topped with a classic cream cheese frosting. It's a match made in heaven!
14. Snickerdoodle Cheesecake
If you're a fan of cheesecake, then this one is a must-try. We're topping this eggless baked cheesecake with a delicious cinnamon sugar topping, just like the beloved cookies.
15. Homemade Fudge
Regular readers know how much I love fudge, and this classic fudge recipe has quickly become a big part of my annual Christmas traditions. It only calls for a handful of ingredients and comes together so quickly.
16. Buttercream Candy
If you ask me, these no-bake buttercream truffles are perfect for just about any occasion. They would be great to gift to your friends or neighbors, or to serve up at your next holiday get together.
17. Red Velvet Pound Cake
I always feel like red velvet is the perfect festive cake, for obvious reasons. This particular single-layer cake is so simple and would work as well in a round pan as it did in the heart-shaped pan I used for Valentine's Day.
18. Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes
I really think you are going to LOVE these festive little cupcakes. We're adding peppermint to both the chocolate cake and the buttercream frosting... but not so much so that it's overpowering. This is a fun one to make with kids!
19. Gingerbread Loaf
And to round out this list of my favorite gluten free Christmas desserts, of course I had to include some classic gingerbread. This quick bread is so simple and full of warm flavor.
